The location is very good close both to the bus terminal and to the train station, less than 10 minutes walking. However the area nearby the hostel doesn't give a safe feeling however being there for 4 nights and no problems at all even when coming back at late night. Very good security, swipe card to open the main entrance door and luggage room free of charge. Funny people met in the hostel, very friendly. Staff is ok nothing to remember this place for. Cleanliness is good, showers are really good however there are only five of them at the reception floor but restrooms in each floor. All clean and really well-working! Kitchen is ok quite big and well furnished. An ash-tray like smell all round, what about setting up a smoking room for people who'd like to smoke?

It has plenty of good amenities, like free laundry, sheets, and towels. The breakfast is pretty good, and worth the cost. You won't find a much cheaper breakfast around the town. But they could work on the basics, like making sure all the washrooms have sinks with running water and the soap dispensers are full. It was a pretty good stay, but it wasn't perfect either.

Not bad hostel at all. Good staff, amazing location, free laundry and good rooms. However some catches. Wireless is expensive, security is crappy as in no lockers and it lacks character and fun. This is due partially to older age groups staying there. Overall good for a few days, and the neighborhood is absolutely fine. Never felt uncomfortable.

No smoking in the rooms, however smoking allowed in corridors directly outside meaning your room almost constantly smells of smoke. A minor quibble however, a decent if very basic hostel. The hostel is very central, an excellent location for sights and Supermarkets. It is in the red light district, however it is not the least bit threatening.

Everything about the hostel itself was wonderful and definitely up to expectations. The only problem was finding it because the given directions are pretty vague. I flew into Torp airport on a Ryanair flight, took the Torp-ekspressen into Oslo, arrived at the bus station and didn't know where to go so I caught a taxi. I found out later that the bus station is actually connected to the central train station, and the train station is only three blocks from the hostel! So if you take the bus into Oslo, take the escalator up then walk across the bridge and you're in the central station. Wander around until you come out of the front entrance and then the directions on this website are more helpful.

Great Hostel!!!! Room was good and the breakfast was amazing. Maybe it would be better if there would be more showers but all in all it is a great hostel!!!! We really enjoyed our stay :)
